VMAP1 Coverage contains all the standard topographic vector data types familiar to GIS users. Data content includes 10 thematic layers: boundaries and coastlines; elevation and contour lines; road and rail networks; hydrography; utility networks; vegetation cover. The horizontal datum for this VMap product is WGS84.

Free Canada road map (added 08-Dec-2006)

Canada users can follow the link to download road map data which cover whole Canada from Census Geography website. You need to download road map data in ARC/INFO (.shp) format then you use GPSMapEdit application in download section to import Canada road map from ARC/INFO (.shp) format to Garmin format. You can edit the map as you wish. When you are satisfied with your map and want to use it in your cell phone, you can send your map to us. We will make VGPS work for Canada road map.
