    so true.

agreed, the argument that the government is going to spy on you suddenly now that google has this service is so ignorant its laughable. About an hour ago i was telling someone that the only concern was that, as you said, was someone could hack the system and gain access to my location which is about as likely as someone hacking in to anything else that has no potential for profit, which is not very. I have a smart phone, and have been playing around with this and i think its pretty slick.

The government already listens to something like 1 in 5 of all phone conversations world wide thanks to George W.’s criminal wiretapping activities.

and then exceptions will be made. First for legitimate reasons, possibly to find a missing hiker. Then it may be used to find high priority criminals. Then kids with potential to cause trouble may be labeled before they get out of school and monitored for future crimes.

Agreed, I wouldn’t use this unless you have an unlimited data plan…but then again, I wouldn’t use this on a cell phone screen…you would almost need a smartphone to make it usefull…and who doesn’t have an unlimited data plan on their smartphone?

  12. jeff4379 Says:

don’t you think the government can already do this without google lattitude installed? All of you arguing about “big brother” knowing where you are…google lattitude isn’t the thing telling them, they can go right to the cell provider. the only concern I would have is an unauthorized person gaining access to your location…even then, big woop, anyone who wants to find out where I am bad enough can find out a hell of alot easier than cracking into google.

Uh…people in Egypt, to begin with. And I’m guessing a lot more people in all the countries bordering Egypt have friends in Egypt than, say, friends in the U.S. Just a guess.

    quanto viene anche in Albania?

  16. thegoosebrain Says:

Relax, people. This does NOT work by simply punching in a phone number and then you can track that person. The person who’s phone number your wanting to track has to give you permission to track them. your all acting like anyone with your phone number can track you! NOT SO!

  17. VegasV8 Says:

Lol, who tf has friends in Egypt?

  18. AchtungBaby79 Says:

you have to put it in and decide, who is allowed to see that

  19. thgr8waldopepper Says:

does this gadget ‘track’ you in real time or do you have to tell the phone where you are on a map first for others to know where you are?

  20. Iceman0095 Says:

I would totally agree with you, and say you were completely right…….except for the fact that there are privacy settings in this software that allow you to turn everything off, and share nothing. Which means you would actually be protecting your privacy. Which would be the complete opposite of everything you just said. Which means I don’t agree with you. And makes you wrong.

Great, my parents are over 75 y.o. and the stiil drive their cars. Now it is possible to check if they got home safely.

  22. raburu Says:

what happened to calling your friend/family and asking them where they are if you need to get a hold of them? This is not good folks, we are fast approaching a world where your privacy will be a thing of the past! Reject this product people!
